Come, join the highly experienced staff at Experience Adventure Recreation for a weekend of whitewater thrills.
This two and a half day Introduction to Kayaking Course begins by teaching you the basics of kayaking including: paddling, turning, wet exits and Eskimo roles on flat water.
The following two days are spent surfing the waves on the Kananaskis River. Skills learned here are ferrying, eddy turns, route selection, water characteristics and much more.
This Course includes: Transportation form Calgary and all necessary equipment and instruction.
Introduction to Whitewater Kayaking (trip1811)

Description:
Our intermediate kayaking course will help you to further develop the skills used in whitewater kayaking.
Over the two and a half days you will learn more about the mechanics of the strokes and the proper techniques required to use these strokes effectively.
During this course you will also learn more advanced scouting techniques as well as an introduction to rescue procedures. This course will help you improve all aspects of your whitewater kayaking knowledge.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Whitewater Kayaking Course or Equivalent Experience.
Intermediate Kayaking Course (trip1819)

Description:
This course will help you to fully develop your kayaking skills. It will examine proper stroke techniques and advanced river reading.
While other kayaking schools may take you on big water, Experience's course is designed to develop your skills to a very advanced level while leaving the decision of the size of water to paddle up to you.
While you are not expected to paddle big water, you must be comfortable paddling in Class 3 plus rapids and already have many of the skills and strokes required for river running.
Prerequisite: Intermediate Whitewater Kayaking Course or Equivalent Experience.
Advanced Kayaking Course (trip1826)
Dates: May 6 to 7, June 10 to 11, July 15 to 16

Ever wonder what it would be like to go on a trip with a kayak but lack the necessary skills? Here is your chance!
This Introduction to Sea Kayaking course will teach you all the skills to be able to successfully complete a kayaking trip.
We will teach you skills such as paddling techniques, self rescue, route planning and packing tips.
This two day course includes all kayaking equipment and a highly experienced instructor.
