Description:
This is a great course to become familiar with the basic skills required for alpine travel.
Learn rope management techniques, anchor set ups and route selection in a friendly and safe environment with our highly experienced staff.
A lot of experience is not needed for this course, but if you have done some climbing and have always been interested in mountaineering, this is a great course to come and try.

Description:
Spend a day in the great outdoors learning the intricacies of map and compass use.
By the end of the day you will be able to orientate a map using features, understand and use contour lines, identify your location and plan routes.
Using your compass you will be able to take and travel on a bearing, set your declination, orientate your map and find your location using resection and triangulation.
